“God, I pray and I speak over this family that everything that has been lost, Love would return to them even more.”

This prayer had me completely undone. This came from the heart of one whom I have invested in for probably 8 years or more. He was one of those that I never knew if he ever heard a word I said. You know the kind. I couldn’t help but love this kid, the cutest and funniest kid ever, yet he could frustrate the heck out of me in our class times.

But then there was today. We were praying for a family who has experienced loss… the loss of a life. And this child’s heart began to pray out loud, right there in the middle of our time. And it was the most sincere, beautiful, full-hearted prayer. It was a prayer of complete trust and faith.

THIS prayer from THIS boy. I keep hearing in over and over in my spirit ever since he prayed it.

“God, I pray and I speak over this family that everything that has been lost, Love would return to them even more.”

I could feel the faith of his heart praying for this family and I could feel his spirit interceding for so many more. For all of us. Can we receive this word? This prayer? That EVERYTHING that’s been lost… EVERYTHING, in all of our situations, EVERYTHING that’s been lost… Love WILL return even more.

And then… oh if you could have heard what happened next. All of the children, 20 of them, their little voices began to quietly sing “and everything that’s lost, Love’s returning. Love’s returning. Love’s returning….” and on and on, that one line from one of their favorite songs, that one promise of God’s nature. Over and over they were washing our spirits to believe Him. To trust His nature.
