A reminder to face your fears
One day not too long ago, a little second grade boy said to me: “I want to be a meteorologist when I grow up… isn’t that something about the weather?”
Me – “Yes. It sure is. Why do you want to be a weather man?”
Boy – “Because I want to fight the tornadoes!”
🤣🌪️
Then I asked him: “Fight tornadoes?”
Boy – “Yeah. Cause they scare me. Like they REALLY scare me! I already chase storms! I’m gonna fight tornadoes too.”
…wow did this boy make me laugh, and also his mindset reminded me…
Too often we run and hide from our fears. But wisdom says to face them and even take time to imagine overcoming them.
